I love when spring time is near. Everything is growing, flowers are blooming, and the weather is getting warmer. What I really enjoy most are the fresh colors, like pastels on Easter Sunday. When I was a little girl, I would dress up in my Sunday best and wear a beautiful dress with a big hat! Oh, how I love a big hat in all of my favorite pastel colors. I would wear a different pastel color every year. This year, I wanted to create the Fabergé Egg on my nails, and include all of my favorite pastel colors on my nails for Easter this year.
Did you know that Peter Carl Gustavovich Fabergé also know as Carl Fabergé was the creator of the Fabergé Eggs? The Emperor, Alexander III, commissioned Carl Fabergé to create these eggs as gifts to give out to the royal family. The beautifully hand crafted eggs were crafted between 1885 and 1916. 50 Easter Eggs were created. Seven of the eggs had disappeared without trace in the 1920s and 1930s, while the remaining 43 eggs are now in some of the world’s most prestigious museum collections around the world.
This is where the idea of the Easter egg hunt came to life! Every year, family and friends would host an Easter egg hunt to keep the children entertained while in search for pastel colored eggs that held a delightful surprise inside, either in a small toy or a delicious treat inside.
To commemorate the Fabergé Eggs, I created this super cute design on my nails to represent the Fabergé Eggs in pastels colors, gold chrome fishnet pattern and added iridescent rhinestone to complete the look. Tell me what you think of this nail design?! Wishing you all a wonderful and blessed Easter.
